Books: Engage and  Putting the Public back in Public Relations Plus  Now is Gone

The Conversation Prism is a living, breathing representation of Social Media. It can reveal the very people you want to reach, where they participate, and how you can engage. We will observe, analyze, dissect, and present the dynamics of conversations, how and where they transpire – becoming digital anthropologists in the process. As conversations are increasingly distributed, everything begins with listening and observing. Doing so, will help you identify exactly where relevant discussions are taking place, as well as their scale and frequency. This dialog can be charted into a targeted social map that’s unique to your brand.

New Marketing
Brian Solis has been actively writing about new marketing and communications since the mid 90s to document how the Web was redefining the communications industry — he coined PR 2.0 along the way before focusing his efforts on the greater impacts on the future of marketing and media. He was also among the original thought leaders working to organize and define the “Social Media” movement to establish a definitive media category.

Books
His new book, Engage, provides a deep review of the evolution of new media and how to integrate new technologies and methodologies into everyday activity. It  is written for champions and executives alike in business, marketing, branding, interactive, service, and communications with a mission to help e to the table.

Prior to Engage, Solis partnered with co-author Deirdre Breakenridge on Putting the Public back in Public Relations, which became a best seller in the communications industry.

In 2007, Solis worked with Geoff Livingston, on Now is Gone, an early, award-winning book that helps businesses learn where to start in Social Media and why.

Solis has also contributed many forewords including PR 2.0 by Deirdre Breakenridge and MySpace Marketing by Sean Percival, Twittfaced by Jacob Morgan, among others.
