Karen Kossow

Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Kettler Management Inc

Karen is responsible for the strategic planning, development and implementation of sales, marketing and branding programs as well as lease-up and 3rd party management transition oversight. Ms. Kossow has extensive experience in the areas of leasing, marketing and troubleshooting. She has also worked with numerous product lines ranging from affordable to upscale. Ms. Kossow oversees a portfolio of over 13,000 apartments in over 40 locations throughout the Washington metropolitan area. Prior to joining Kettler, Ms. Kossow was employed at Charles E. Smith Residential. She began as a Leasing Manager and was subsequently promoted to Pacesetter, Marketing Manager, and ultimately appointed Director of Marketing. Prior to Charles E. Smith Residential, Ms. Kossow served as Activities Director at Dreyfuss Brothers Management. A graduate of William and Mary, Kossow received a Bachelor of Arts degree in French with a psychology minor. Ms. Kossow recently served on the AOBA-DC Metro AACE Award Committee. She hosted local radio show “Apartment Chat,” and since 2002 has served as a facilitator and speaker for the Multifamily Pro Brainstorming Conference. In July of 2006, she was named one of the industry’s “Rising Stars” by Multi-Family Executive Magazine, and in July of 2007 was profiled as one of five people named “The New Order” by Multi-Family Executive Magazine. Ms. Kossow is a speaker at National Industry Conferences and has been published in industry publications. She was the 2005 Vice-Chair and 2006 Chair of the DC Metro Property Management Association Marketing Council.

Nicole Jones

Senior Sales & Marketing Manager, Kettler Management Inc

Nicole Jones serves as Senior Sales & Marketing Manager at Kettler Management Inc in McLean, Virginia.  She is responsible for the strategic planning, development and implementation of sales and marketing programs for multiple 3rd party lease-ups and stable communities.  Ms. Jones joined Kettler Management in August of 2008 as a Senior Sales & Marketing Manager. Ms. Jones directly oversees a portfolio of over 2,500 apartments in 12 locations, including four 3rd party lease-ups. Additionally, she contributes to global programs impacting the entire portfolio of over 16,000 apartments in over 65 locations throughout the Washington metropolitan area and New Jersey.  Prior to moving to Kettler Management Inc, Ms. Jones worked on the development side of Kettler Inc beginning in February of 2005. As a Sales and Marketing Manager, Ms. Jones oversaw the development & execution of all marketing, advertising and PR for brand-new $800 million condominium portfolio of seven properties, comprised of 1,700+ units. Ms. Jones created marketing plans, developed key messaging and brand standards for the condominium portfolio and was responsible for ensuring consistency.  Prior to joining Kettler Inc., Ms. Jones was employed at Simpson Heating & Cooling as the Director of Marketing and had sole responsibility for creating & implementing individual marketing programs for three offices. Prior to that Ms. Jones was with HITT Contracting, Inc. as a Marketing Associate.  A graduate of Virginia Tech, Ms. Jones received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Management.  Ms. Jones was a captain and member of the Virginia Tech Women’s Basketball team from 1998-2002.
