If you’re new to Brainstorming, then you need to know that attendees traditionally come in costume on Wednesday, the first day of the event, according to the theme.

We wear costumes because Brainstorming is most successful when we break out of our everyday thinking and the usual “uniform” of our workday.  Costumes help to jumpstart our imaginations, spark our sense of adventure, bring playfulness to the serious business of generating new ideas, and build an entirely fresh environment in which we can all create together.

This year’s Brainstorming event is all about EXPERIENCE! The Brainstorming process and resulting ideas, this year’s exhibits, and our educational agenda are being designed to incorporate more interactivity—all combining to make this the EXPERIENCE of 2012 that you definitely don’t want to miss!

If you’ve been to Brainstorming before, you know that costumes on opening day are an integral part of the experience, so help us keep EXPERIENCE itself in the spotlight this year! Choose a costume that illustrates a great experience that you’ve had or always wanted to have! (Pining for Paris? Dress as the Eiffel Tower! Always wanted to take a few weeks off and drive cross country? Dress as the Route 66 sign or a great roadside attraction! Did you see Elton John in concert back when his costumes were at their craziest? Get yourself a duck suit! If you’ve ever bowled a perfect game or golfed par, wear your league shirt or your loudest golf pants! Were you an athlete or cheerleader in college? Wish you’d been at Woodstock? Ever been skydiving or climbed a mountain? Were you once a band nerd, drama geek, Valedictorian, or Prom Queen? You get the idea…)

Get noodling on your costume idea, and we’ll see you there!
