In order to be considered as a candidate for the renowned team of Brainstorming Facilitators, candidates must have:
- Have attended The Brainstorming Sessions at least twice;
- Have served as a scribe for at least five sessions;
- Be referred by two current Facilitators who have either Brainstormed with them or know them well enough to offer a recommendation;
- Must have contributed significantly to the success and spirit of the event (non-monetarily); and
- Aspire to the position with a desire to share their unique professional talents and experience with their fellow Brainstormers, and to play a special role in the event – not merely with a desire to become a member of an exclusive and elite “clique”.
Facilitator Responsibilities:
- Must be available to fully view Facilitator Orientation/Training presented via MproTV prior to the event.
- Must be available to attend a Facilitator’s Orientation Rally on the evening before Brainstorming begins.
- Must be available to attend all three days of the event, from beginning to end.
- Must put the attendees needs above their own.
- Must be willing to dress in costume for Brainstorming.
- Must support the event staff by cleaning up tables and re-sorting table toys, books and other tools at the end of each day.
- Facilitators are the “cheerleaders” of Brainstorming – when it’s time to sing, dance, play, create, inspire, guide, enlighten, enliven, cheer, and get down to business – they lead by example.
